About The Lair
The Lair is a cocktail bar under Campuhan Bridge in Ubud. Come for a proper drink after dinner, not a full meal. We've been. You get there by heading down a stone stairway to a dim, plant-filled room and a deck hanging over the Wos River ravine.
Cocktails are the focus. The current list, called Provenance, is a set of signature cocktails by bartender Dimas Mahendra built around regional ingredients: purple yam with aged rum, galangal and turmeric with white rum, snake fruit tequila with chilli. Most are IDR 180,000 to 220,000, plus 15.5% tax and service. Classics are made on request, and there are a few alcohol-free options such as a house rice horchata.
Food is small plates for sharing: patatas bravas, tuna tartare, duck pancakes, foie gras sliders and a taster plate if you can't choose. Don't plan on a main course here.
On Saturdays a DJ plays from 10pm. The catch is access: it's stairs down from the road and stairs back up, so it isn't step-free.
