Mangroove Bay Padel, Sumberkima: courts and hours

Mangroove Bay Padel is two panoramic courts among the palm trees of Sumberkima Bay, in Bali's far northwest. It was set up by Mangroove Bay, a boutique hostel on the water, and the Sumberkima Hill villas up the slope, and the courts sit right next door to the hostel.

It's a small club. Rackets are for hire and you buy balls at reception. The hosts run small tournaments and events every month, and post them on Instagram. Next door, Groove Fitness has a gym and daily classes, and Mangroove Bay has a restaurant plus a sauna and ice bath. Playtomic lists the courts as open daily from 08:00 to 22:00.

The catch is distance. The hostel puts the drive from south Bali at about four hours, so it's padel for when you're already up here, say for snorkelling at Menjangan.
