Amare Padel Umalas: courts, sauna and ice bath

Amare is a covered padel club on Jalan Dukuh Indah in Umalas, just outside Canggu. Rain doesn't stop play here. It's also a tournament venue: the Asia Pacific Padel Tour held its APPT Challenger at Amare in March 2025.

Recovery is the other draw. After a game you've got a sauna and an ice bath, plus changing rooms with showers and a café. Coaching covers private and group lessons, and the Amare Academy takes kids and beginners as well as stronger players. Courts run from 07:00 until 22:30, every day.

The catch is heat. In a summary of around 150 Google reviews, the main complaint is that poor ventilation makes the courts uncomfortably hot, and several reviewers find the prices high. The friendly staff and the coaching get the praise.

• Dodge the hottest hours. Heat is the most common complaint, so the 07:00 starts and evening slots are your friends.
• Leave time to recover. The sauna and ice bath are on site, so plan an extra half hour after you play.
• Late games are fine. Last slots run to 22:30.
