About The Stones Hotel Legian Bali, Autograph Collection

Perched on Batu Bolong Beach where Legian meets the Indian Ocean, The Stones Hotel commands attention with its bold contemporary architecture and uncompromising commitment to oceanfront luxury. This Autograph Collection property distinguishes itself through thoughtful design that frames the endless blue horizon from nearly every corner. The arrival experience sets the tone immediately—stepping into the open-air lobby, you're greeted by sea breezes and the sound of waves just meters away. Each room category, from Deluxe Ocean View to the expansive Presidential Suite, features floor-to-ceiling windows and private balconies that transform sunset viewing into a daily ritual. The property's positioning on this quieter stretch of beach means you enjoy Legian's energy without the crowds, while still being a short walk from the area's renowned beach clubs and dining scene. The outdoor pool area becomes particularly enchanting during golden hour, when the infinity edge seems to blend seamlessly with the ocean beyond. What truly elevates The Stones is its understanding that luxury travelers seek both comfort and connection to place—the hotel's beachfront location allows for morning surf sessions followed by spa treatments, creating that quintessential Bali rhythm of adventure and relaxation.
Our personal review

Our experience

What struck us most about The Stones was how the property manages to feel both grand and intimate. The beachfront location is genuinely exceptional—you can literally roll out of bed and onto one of Bali's most beautiful stretches of sand. We found the ocean-view rooms live up to their promise, with expansive windows that make the sea feel like part of your living space. The infinity pool area becomes magical around 5 PM when other guests gather for sunset drinks, creating a sophisticated yet relaxed social atmosphere. The hotel's position on Batu Bolong Beach means you're close enough to walk to Finns Beach Club or Echo Beach's surf breaks, but far enough from Kuta's intensity to actually hear the waves at night.
Worth knowing
Book an ocean-view room on a higher floor for the most dramatic sunsets and better wave sounds. The beachfront here is excellent for morning walks or evening strolls toward Echo Beach. If you're planning romantic dining, reserve ahead as the hotel's oceanfront restaurants fill up quickly during peak season. The concierge team is particularly knowledgeable about surf conditions and can arrange board rentals.
