Play by Uluwatu Estate: Nyang Nyang padel club

Play is the padel club at Uluwatu Estate, the villa estate that sits above Nyang Nyang beach, on Jalan Batu Nunggul in Pecatu. It's a quiet corner of Uluwatu, well away from the Bingin and Padang Padang strip.

Small, too. There are two roofed doubles courts, Court A and Court B, and no singles court. With only two courts and a 20:00 close, book ahead. Turning up on spec is a gamble.

Off court there's a restaurant and café, changing rooms with showers, lockers and rental gear. Coaching runs as public classes on Playtomic, graded by level: bronze training sessions, low bronze clinics and silver performance clinics. The club also hosts Americanos and fixed-partner tournaments, some of them ladies-only.

• Play before 8pm. The club is open 08:00 to 20:00 every day, so there are no late games.
• Pick a clinic at your level. Classes are split into bronze and silver groups, so read the level on each one before you sign up.
• Parking is free. Playtomic lists free, private parking on site.
