Pad Thai Padel, Canggu: indoor courts and prices

Five indoor glass courts under one roof, so rain never cancels a game here. Pad Thai Padel Canggu is the Bali branch of a Bangkok club, on Jalan Dalem Wr. in Pererenan, the quieter side of Canggu.

Court hire is a flat Rp 500,000 for an hour or Rp 750,000 for 90 minutes, with the same rate from 7am to the last slot. You book a lettered court (A to E) online through Setpoint, no account needed, or in The Padel Society app. Rackets and balls are available at the club.

Above the courts there's a spectator terrace, plus a café, co-working seating and a wellness area for after a match. Most days have something on: Americanos, Mexicanos and King of the Court sessions sorted by level, usually Rp 280,000 a player.

The downside is coaching. A private hour with the academy is Rp 1,700,000 for one or two players, against Rp 1,000,000 with Jungle's head coach.

• Midday is fine here. With every court indoors, the hot middle of the day is playable, and prices don't change by time.
