Mahima, Sayan Ubud: padel prices and booking

Mahima is a racket and gym club on Jl. Blumbang in Sayan, about 10 minutes' drive from Ubud centre. Padel is one part of it. There are three panoramic padel courts and two tennis courts, all covered and floodlit, so a wet-season downpour won't end your game.

A court costs Rp 440,000 for an hour, Rp 560,000 for 90 minutes and Rp 720,000 for two hours, split between however many of you play. You don't need a membership. The padel coaching is run by Uri Padro, who trained at the Pablo Aymà Academy in Spain, with private lessons, small group classes and a kids' academy on Tuesdays.

Off court there's a proper gym, plus a sauna, ice bath and pool, and a restaurant. The catch is distance: Sayan is west of town, so it's a scooter or taxi ride, not a walk. For other options nearby, see our padel in Ubud guide or Monkey Padel, about 2km south in Sayan.

• Cancel 24 hours out. Court bookings and lessons can be moved or cancelled up to 24 hours before the start.
• Rackets cost extra for games. Hire is Rp 60,000 a session at reception. Lessons include racket, balls and court.
• Short of a fourth? Join an open match or the weekly americana on Playtomic, or ask the club to find you a partner.
• Parking is free. There's space on site, which helps if you're coming by scooter from central Ubud.
