Island Sports Cemagi: padel prices and hours

We've played here. Island Sports Cemagi is at Jalan Pantai Mengening No. 1, on the road down to Mengening beach, and it's the group's village club: Canggu is the flagship, with Uluwatu and Gili T alongside.

Three courts. Two are covered and one is open, so in the wet season the outdoor court is the one you'll lose to rain. Court hire is Rp 400,000 for an hour or Rp 600,000 for 90 minutes, per court and split between up to four players. That's a third less than the Rp 600,000 an hour Island Sports charges in Canggu.

Off court there's a functional fitness gym with open sessions and classes, plus a restaurant-bar for before or after. The club runs weekly mixers and monthly socials, and two resident coaches, Jose and Ajo, teach here. For more places to play nearby, see our Cemagi guide and the Bali padel guide.

• Book in the app. Courts go through the Island Sports Club app (iOS and Android); the club is also listed on Playtomic, open 07:00–22:00 every day.
• Pick a covered court in the wet season. Only one of the three is outdoors, so choose the court as well as the time when rain's forecast.
• Racket hire is Rp 60,000. Balls aren't included: a tin costs Rp 120,000 (ODEA) or Rp 150,000 (OXDOG).
• Lessons get cheaper in a group. A private lesson is Rp 900,000 with Jose or Rp 1,000,000 with Ajo; with four of you it's Rp 325,000 each. The court and kit are included. Book in the app or message Cemagi reception on WhatsApp (+62 813 3705 2325).
• Ask about mixers. There's one a week and a social each month; the front desk has the schedule.
