Grove Padel Denpasar: socials, prices and booking

Grove Padel is at Jalan Gunung Sampang No. 168 in Padangsambian, Denpasar Barat, under a kilometre from City Padel Bali.

If you don't have a four, Grove's social games are the way in. The club posts Americanos on Reclub: two hours, eight players across two courts, Rp 200,000 a person, with fresh balls and a coconut or coffee included. Everyone plays with and against everyone, first to 24 points. Bigger themed nights run too, like the 12-player Halloween Americano on 31 October, with a free court hour for the winner and for the best costume.

Racket hire is Rp 50,000. There's food and drink on site too, judging by the prizes: at the 27 October Americano the winner picks a Grove jersey and the runner-up gets 25% off food and drinks.

The catch is the booking process for socials. You request a place, wait for confirmation, pay by bank transfer and upload proof, and you can only cancel up to the day before.

• Arrive 15 minutes early. The club asks social players to come early to warm up.
• Cancel by the day before. After that there's no refund for a social, and finding a replacement is on you.
