Bam Bam Padel, Ubud: prices, hours and the spa

Book a court at Bam Bam Padel and the recovery spa comes free: Finnish sauna, steam room, ice bath and a saltwater jacuzzi. It's a family-run club on Jalan Cempaka in Kumbuh, Mas, 5–10 minutes by scooter south of central Ubud, with parking for cars and scooters.

All five courts are covered, so afternoon rain doesn't stop play. Prices are per player with no minimum group: Rp 110,000 for an hour, Rp 150,000 for 90 minutes. Weekday early mornings and late evenings are 20% off, and weekends are 30% off all day. Two Spanish coaches run the academy, from a Rp 200,000 beginners' class to group sessions from Rp 300,000, plus a kids' academy for ages 5 to 15. There's a canteen, a pro shop and a physio on site.

• Or go early. Monday to Friday, 07:00–09:00 and 20:00–22:00 drop to Rp 88,000 per player.
